I have never been a fan of diets. I don’t know if I’ve ever actually been on a true-to-form diet. Just the word “diet” has such a negative connotation. That being said, I do try to stay as healthy as possible. This may come as a surprise. This does happen to be a blog about food and beer pairings. My recipes also tend to be a little over the top sometimes. On a daily basis however, I keep it pretty clean.

I literally eat the same thing for breakfast almost everyday: a half an avocado, two scrambled eggs, and an immunity citrus ginger shot. I will usually throw a smoothie into the mix sometime around mid-morning. Lunch is a toss up. If I have leftovers from the night before, I’ll usually heat that up. If not, it’s usually a green salad with some tuna or chicken thrown on top or a sprouted wheat sandwich with turkey, lettuce, and tomato. Besides some simple snacking throughout the day and a ton of water consumption, my eating routine is pretty mundane. When it comes to dinner, I usually just prepare whatever I’m craving at the time. I don’t put too much thought into dinner, except for making sure that all of the basic food groups are met.

With the New Year just beginning, I thought it would be a good time to compile a list of some of my favorite smoothie recipes on the blog. They are a great start to your day, and I highly recommend giving one of them a try! They are all SUPER tasty!
