You asked, and I heard you loud and clear. It was time for a post dedicated to two of my favorite things on the planet: beer and cheese. I think this post has been a long time a-coming. Don’t you? … and I’m pretty sure that New Year’s Day is the perfect day to share the best beer and cheese pairings evaaaaaa. There’s just something about the two, and if I ever had the inkling to start a brewery, cheese would definitely be included. I think the two were just made for each other. The bold collaborations and flavors of these hand-picked beers and cheeses go hand in hand, and this guide is one of my favorite things I’ve posted yet!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a fabulous Happy New Year. We had a very relaxed holiday. It was amazing. We’ve spent the day lounging around the house, eating pork and sauerkraut, and indulging in football game after football game. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the holidays. I’m ready to get back into the groove of things though, aren’t you? It’s always good to get back into a routine, and I can barely function when I don’t have a routine…hence my serious lack of recipes in the past week.
I sincerely apologize about this.
So anyway, as I dive headfirst into this little old thing called “graphic design,” I thought I’d bring you guys along for the ride. You guys may not know this, but I studied a little bit of graphic design in college, which was a LONG time ago. As I refresh myself on the basics and continue to progress in this little goal I’ve set for myself, I’m going to ATTEMPT to start sharing at least one infographic with you guys a week, and then hopefully it will blossom into something more substantial.
My first little project: this guide to beer and cheese pairings. It’s fun and you know it! Each pairing came with a little bit of trial and error, research and insane amount of indulgence in many beers and many cheeses. Not in the least bit did I care how long it took for me to come up with this guide, but I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it!
To keep things short and sweet today, I hope everyone enjoys what’s left of their vacations. I will see you all bright and early tomorrow! xo
