Boy, has it been a crazy week. It's a good thing I planned these posts out ahead a time, or you'd all be lacking in food and beer pairings! I know, right! It is a scary, scary thought. I don't even want to think about it. We are pretty much moved in. No, we have done absolutely no unpacking, but we did buy a sofa that isn't covered in Cilantro hair! This is a major win in my book. Baby steps...baby steps. I made the granola right before we moved, in hopes that it would be a good snack while we w ...

Quinoa has grown on me over the years. I wasn't a huge fan from the start, but overtime and with it prepared the way I like, I learned to really love the stuff. One of my favorite ways to eat it is for breakfast. Whether it's with milk and berries, or yogurt and oranges, it's delicious either way. This is one of my favorite recipes. It's simple. It's quick. It's delicious. What's not to love!? It's also a great use of leftover quinoa. I don't know about you, but I ALWAYS make too much. I don't k ...

I'm a HUGE sucker for a good homemade pretzel. I love them. There are a couple of breweries in the area that serve them right along side their special brews, and this has to be one of my favorite combos in the world! Nothing beats a warm, soft pretzel straight out of the oven. I've made pretzels before, quite a few times actually, but never have I made a traditional pretzel. I've always taken the easy way out and made them into bites. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and if you've never made ...

When I tell you that loose granola and granola bars are two of the easiest thing you will make, I am totally not bluffing. There are seriously no excuses. There is no need to go buy the prepackaged stuff. These granola bars taste better and are so much better for you! Oh and what's even better, is that they are no-bake. I love no-bake recipes. They seriously makes my world go round. These Biscoff Granola Bars were a huge hit around here. They combine some of our favorite flavors: cookie spread, ...

Well, I promised I would have a peppermint bark recipe up this week, so here ya go. This is one of Zach's favorites. He goes crazy over peppermint bark. This is especially true right after the holidays when all of the store-bought peppermint bark goes on sale. Like I mentioned when I posted the Cake Batter Bark a couple of days ago, peppermint bark is also super easy to make. It's an inexpensive way to put together holidays presents, and I don't know about you, but I love receiving edible gifts. ...

It's a good day when you make candy and it works out so well. The first time I ever attempted to make bark didn't go so well, but with a little trial and error, I was able to get it just right. We love bark around the holidays. Actually, we love bark all year round, but we try to limit ourselves to eating it just around the holidays =) (for obvious reason). To try to limit the amount of dollars we spend on the store-bought stuff, I decided to make my own this year. I'll have a peppermint bark re ...

There are few things more perfect in this world than puppy chow. Even though it is hard to admit, I adore it just as much as the next 10 year old. No just kidding, it's not at all hard to admit. The stuff is delicious. Because I am on such a Biscoff craze lately, I decided to make a biscoff (cookie butter) version of a childhood favorite. You guys. This may be the best puppy chow ever. It is tossed in powdered sugar and the warm spices that represent the Fall and Winter months. If you aren't fam ...

So, I was debating on whether or not I was going to post a Halloween-themed recipe today. Originally, I completely forgot about it, and was going to post the absolute perfect brussel sprouts recipe for Turkey Day. Don't worry, that recipe will be up this weekend, but I didn't think that brussel sprouts and Halloween meshed well. So, here we are, and I decided to whip up a batch of marshmallows. There are few things I love more in this world than the marshmallow. I love all things marshmallow. Wi ...

You know you love them. Even if you don't want to admit it. I know that you love them. I know that I love them, especially when they are Holiday themed =). For some reason, the holidays bring out the sugar cookie side of me. Lofthouse Sugar Cookies are what I'm talking about, and even if you don't know the name, I'm 100% certain you've seen them before. You usually find them in the bakery of your grocery store, and they are usually incredibly difficult to resist. Well maybe not usually. More lik ...

Last year, Zach made these delicious Pumpkin Pinwheel Cookie Sandwiches. We decided to tackle this recipe again, but in a different way. This time we eliminated the "sandwich" and made them a traditional pinwheel cookie. They are spectacular either way you choose to make them. Obviously, the recipe we are sharing today is just a tad easier. There's just something about a pinwheel cookie. We tend to make them a lot. I think part of the reason we love them so much, is that you can incorporate just ...
