Let's be honest with ourselves, grits have to be one of the most amazing dishes on the planet. I love them all ways, especially when they are mixed with a ton of cheese! This particular recipe just happens to be vegetarian (I know ... it doesn't happen very often) and packed with goat cheese and garlicky goodness. I'm all about the alliteration today. Can you tell? Grits are easy and quick. They are the perfect meal when you are on a budget, and they are even more perfect when they are topped wi ...

Talk about some major packing fuel. These cookies kept me sane while I was packing up our disaster of a townhouse. They've been gone for a while now, but I can still taste the sultry caramel, saltiness. I love sweets with a touch of salty. Sea salt and caramel are one of my favorite combinations, and I knew that I had to throw them into a cookie. The chocolate chip cookie dough base is a pretty standard cookie dough, but this time I stuffed it with a caramel square and sprinkled the cookies with ...

Breakfast for dinner...it doesn't get much better than that. I made this frittata when Zach and I were packing, moving and being all-together grumpy. Neither of us like to pack and/or move. Thank God that's over! This sausage and goat cheese frittata really helped us get through the pain and agony (yes, it was agonizing). It is a simple recipe, and since we were lacking in a few kitchen utensils, it didn't require very much hardware. Frittatas are great any time of day, any time of year. They ar ...

Boy, has it been a crazy week. It's a good thing I planned these posts out ahead a time, or you'd all be lacking in food and beer pairings! I know, right! It is a scary, scary thought. I don't even want to think about it. We are pretty much moved in. No, we have done absolutely no unpacking, but we did buy a sofa that isn't covered in Cilantro hair! This is a major win in my book. Baby steps...baby steps. I made the granola right before we moved, in hopes that it would be a good snack while we w ...

Can you believe it's April already?! I certainly can't! It's been a whirlwind of a weekend, and I am so happy to finally be moved into our new house. More on the big move will come later on in the week! ;) There's just something about Spring. Everything is fresh and clean. I also love the fact that everything is finally starting bloom! This post is dedicated to Spring-Inspired Sunday Dinners. I have once again collaborated with Foodie.com to bring you some of my favorite Sunday Dinner recipes ...

I really crave salads as warmer months approach, and I was really craving a chopped chicken cobb salad. I love a cobb salad, mostly for the hard-boiled eggs, but also for all the ways you can get creative with it. I like to add absolutely everything, but the kitchen sink in my cobb salads. This was the perfect meal to get Zach and I through a week of packing. It's been an insanely busy and tiring week. Luckily, it's almost over. We are officially moved out of our townhouse. This was bittersweet, ...

Over the next couple of weeks, I'm going to start focusing on more Spring-inspired recipes. Easter is creeping up on us faster than you may think, and Easter brunch is one of my favorite meals of the year. I actually prefer Easter brunch over Easter dinner, but this may just be because of my obsessiveness with breakfast and dinner food intermingling. It's an issue, and I'm dealing with. I've forced Zach to have breakfast for dinner already twice this week. He's not complaining though. He doesn't ...

Welp, I decided to hop on the truffle bandwagon, and make cookie dough truffles for Easter/preparation for Easter. I love truffles. They are easy, delicious, and a part from the chilling part, super quick too. These are a cookie dough version. You mix it up, roll them into balls, form them into eggs and chill them. It's really as simple as that. I love these for Easter for a multitude of reasons. You can make a lot of them in one batch and have dessert ready in no time. Especially if you are inv ...

Happy first day of Spring guys! Are you all as excited as I am for blue skies and warmer temperatures?! We are lucky enough to live in an area where, for the most part, the sun is always shining, and the chance of rain is scarce. This is one of the many things I love about living in Colorado. You just can't beat the weather. Sure we get some snow, but it's usually gone the next day. For the most part our winters are pretty mild, and I just love this. So anyway, lets talk breakfast. I love this r ...
