When I was figuring out what I was cooking/photographing/posting this week, this blistered heirloom tomato bruschetta with lemon ricotta was not on my list. I was thinking I'd bake all week. I feel like dinner rolls are such a fall/winter recipe. You don't normally bake them in the dead of summer, mostly because of that whole turning on the oven thing. It was super hot here for a couple of days, but then it cooled down substantially. I was seriously craving some dinner rolls at this point. Woo! It's the first day of the NFL regular season! I'm a football fanatic. College ... professional ... you name it ... I love it. I love the food that goes along with it even better though ... obviously. I really wanted to celebrate the start of the regular season by making something I crave during every single football game.
